my story in short

The health world didn’t just catch my attention, it pulled me in and never let go.  I fell in love with food, healing, and the kind of community that forms when people decide they’re ready to feel better.  My own story made that calling personal.

I was born with Cerebral Palsy, a quiet twist in early development that tangled the communication between my brain, bones, nerves, and muscles.  My body learned life through tension in a constant state of inflammation.  My nervous system lived in a state of “brace yourself," also known as flight or fight mode.

For 34 years, I did what I could with scrambled instructions, my pain disguised as normal, and professionals telling me what I’d never do or never reclaim. I adapted. I worked out. I kept moving to the best of my ability.  I did all the necessary homework.  But I wasn’t living. I was simply waiting for things to get worse the older I got.

November 2015 changed everything.  At the Averio Health Institute in Mount Vernon, Washington, 48 chiropractic adjustments, holistic care, laser treatment, and plant‑based nutrition flipped a switch in my body.  In five days, my spine shifted 60% toward normal alignment, like my body finally got the memo.  The messages were sent and my body wasn't just responding, it began to change.  Physically, and oh thank God mentally too.  Seven visits over the last ten years have regenerated a cervical disc, repaired ligaments, and unwound patterns that were once permanent. My nervous system has been rewriting itself piece by piece, opening a life I never knew could exist for me.  I am not done with my treatments.  Growing up in a CP body is not a one‑and‑done fix. It’s an ongoing process, a long arc of healing and rewiring that continues to unfold and get better and better the older I get.  I am 100% not the same person I was growing up to be.

That experience taught me what’s possible when the body finally gets the right support, real food, intentional movement, and staying connected instead of disconnected.

In 2017, I graduated as a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, gaining the tools to help others rebalance their bodies naturally.

Today, I specialize in Nutritional Muscle Testing and Functional Nutritional Therapy, using the body’s own neurological feedback to uncover what’s stressing the system and what brings it back into balance.

I am still growing. This spring, I am continuing my education and expanding my palette of skills, moving into Massage Therapy as the foundation for advancing into Cranial Sacral and Somatoemotional healing.  My goal is to build a toolkit that supports the body, mind, and nervous system in a deeper, more connected way.

This work rebuilt my life. Now I help others rebuild theirs.
